Believe in Magic

She chose to believe in magic,
because the world already had
enough villains and monsters,
everything was a chapter, not the end.

She vowed to be her own saviour,
no white steed needed, no need
for a knight in shining armour,
when she was her own dork in humor.

She vowed to re-write every tragedy
the universe tried to stick her in,
because going down without a fight
wasn't in her genetocs as a way to win.

She chose to believe in magic,
because the world already had
enough villains and monsters,
everything was a chapter, not the end.

No more rose colored glasses
or flocking like sheep,
she was meant to forge
her own oath, not sit and weep.

A voice she had, and use it well
finally she had found her backbone,
no longer a damsel, or a naive little girl,
but a mere queen upon her throne.

She chose to believe in magic,
because the world already had
enough villains and monsters,
everything was a chapter, not the end.
